Frederick Aldridge was a watercolour artist who was born in Worthing, Sussex in 1850.  He was based in the town for most of his life, founding the successful Aldridge Gallery.  Aldridge painted scenes in Holland and Venice but was primarily known for his coastal scenes around England.  He exhibited 12 works at Suffolk Street and 7 at the New Watercolour Society.
